Soviet Yak-28R Brewer-D at Kolomija airport in the seventies

The 48th independent Guards Reconnaissance Air Regiment replaced the old Yak-27R ‘Mangrove’ aircraft with a Yak-28R type in 1973. The regiment used thirteen Yak-28R 'Brewer-D' reconnaissance (B/n: 21 - 33) and three Yak-28U 'Maestro' trainer aircraft (B/n: 43, 44, 45) in the seventies at the Kolomija airport.
